Adventures in being type (A)lmost

20 Feb

Today has been one of those glorious days where I feel like Super Woman!

  • Got enough sleep and even made the bed!

(still haven’t put up any art work in our room…2 years later)

  • Made a healthy hot breakfast for the family

eggs

(backyard eggs from Gammie and Grampa!)

muffin

gummies

organic raspberry!

(And yes as a “crunchy” mama I am aware that this is a toxic melamine polkadot plate. I just can’t bear to let them go so we only use them for cold food and don’t use them in the microwave.)

chia

  • Finished chores (sort of)
  • Planned weekly menu

kitchen

  • Dressed for the day!
  • Played outside with the kiddos
  • Made dinner
  • And went grocery shopping

All in all a very eventful day for me. Most days are not this productive. It must be because of our lovely 3 day weekend in Portland. It is amazing what rest and sunshine can do for a Type B Mama. I can almost guarantee the rest of the week will look nothing like this day!

We haven’t put artwork up in our room either and it’s been over 2 years for us. It seems like we can never fully finish a project. There is always something left that we don’t get around to doing 🙂

Glad to know I am not the only one!!! I have the biggest box of frames and photos that need to go up too, just not a priority. I think by the time I am “done” decorating this house it will be time to sell and move again.

No artwork in my room either… not that there’s room for it. but my bed has been made maybe… 10 times? Haha! I love those days, though – those super days! Wish they would happen more often – but especially now with being pregnant… yeah right. I gotta scale my expectations down to: If I and all my family are fed, and the house hasn’t completely fallen apart, it’s been a good day. 🙂

Pregnancy gets a pass for all of this in my opinion! You can’t be expected to create life AND have a clean house hahah

The fact that you posted a picture of your bedroom online is superhuman enough for me! Looks like you had a great day! Love it!
