New Paint!

When we bought our house we planned on painting it immediately. However, life, babies, and unexpected expenses always had priority. Four years later, we have outgrown this house and are getting it ready to sell this summer. We were told we needed to paint it in order to sell due to peeling paint. We hired a painter in August/September and somehow with weather and other clients ahead of us, our house did not get painted until November! Thankfully we had a few weeks of good weather and they were able to get it done before the rain and snow.   These are the BEFORE pictures: DSC_0013DSC_0014 DSC_0006DSC_0010 DSC_0008 DSC_0009 As you can see, the house was super drab and covered in old peeling paint. These are the AFTER pictures: DSC_0004DSC_0007DSC_0012DSC_0015DSC_0022DSC_0017DSC_0020DSC_0018 We are super happy with the bright bold navy and yellow colors! We chose to keep the porch a similar grey color like it was and kept a white trim as well. It feels so cheery and bright even on rainy gray days. The only bad thing I can say is that it is bittersweet for me. We finally painted our home and love it, but we are planning to sell it and so we really don’t get to enjoy it for very long.

Through tiny people's tantrums, quotidian duties, marriage, grief, and way too much Netflix, there is Beauty with a big B. It's fragrant, it's healing, it's distinct. This is how I gather bouquets of thorny, wild Light - still covered in dirt and probably a few stinging bugs. It's a bit messy here, but I'm honored to have you and I hope you find some of the Good Stuff.
